SIPS Panel Experts.

At Ruebl Builders, we make sure all our custom homes are not only beautiful and timeless but sustainable and efficient. SIPs is one of the key components to building your custom home

Ruebl Builders is proud to be a supplier and custom builder the two of the best SIP Panels (Structural Insulated Panel) in the Wisconsin industry. We are proud to line ourselves up with two of the industry leaders in Sips. When building in southeast Wisconsin we have many challenges and heating and cooling is one of them. Sips helps to rid some of these issues with few cold joints , no studs and thermo bridging.  With Sips buildings go up much faster and square when building a custom home. Build tight and ventilate right, that is the key difference in how SIPs outperform stick framed construction. When compared to buildings framed with dimensional lumber, Extreme’s large SIPs cover greater surfaces with far less gaps in the walls and roofs to be filled and sealed. These large panels offer owners better indoor quality, reduced infiltration of outside pollutants, smaller HVAC systems, and a superior indoor temperature control. As a result, Extreme buildings stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Extreme SIPs have consistently outperformed other building methods of construction in both whole wall R-value comparison and energy efficiency. The best data we have are the happy customers that report the dramatic results of less energy used every month. Contact us for test data to back up the actual findings of our many satisfied customers.

Murus  and Extreme panel offers a few different  lines of SIPs that share several qualities: innovative design, flexibility, and a focus on quality control. But each Murus product offers something unique, depending on the specifications and budget of a particular project.

All Murus products offer significant benefits over traditional construction: energy savings, reduced labor, faster construction times, structural strength, reduced waste, a tighter building envelope, and a more comfortable living environment, among others.

All Murus SIPs are ideal for Green building projects. Optional factory pre-cutting, and electrical chases with several height options are available. Each Murus product also offers specific attributes and benefits:

Polyurethane (PUR) SIP

Murus combined several innovative elements in their Polyurethane (PUR) Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). This industry-leading product uses a specially designed polyurethane closed-cell foam that offers several crucial advantages: unmatched thermal performance, superior R-values, and thermal-set plastic (does not melt) properties that earn Murus polyurethane SIPs a Class I Fire Resistance rating

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) SIP

Murus Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) SIPs offer a high quality, competitively priced alternative to conventional construction. EPS panels contain a core of rigid cellular foam plastic. The EPS foam core is molded in large blocks and cut to size, then laminated to the OSB skin surfaces with an extremely strong and durable one-part Urethane adhesive.

Extreme panel offers closed cell (EPS) and a Zinc borate coating on all osb.

  • Preservation of our reputation of providing Extreme qua

Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) SIP

Murus Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) SIPs provide an excellent alternative to EPS, where higher R-values and thinner cross-sections are required and budget considerations are not a priority. The XPS foam is a rigid cellular closed-cell foam, and the manufacturing process consists of extruding polystyrene foam into a pre-determined length and thickness, milling it to assure dimensional uniformity, then pressure-laminating it to the panel skins.

R-Values

R-value is defined as a measure of the capacity of a material, such as insulation, to resist heat flow, with increasing values indicating a greater capacity. The higher the R-value of a material, the greater its insulating capacity. Murus SIPs’ R-values range from R-16 to R-57, depending upon the type of foam core and its thickness.

The higher the R-value of a material, the greater its insulating capacity. Murus SIPs’ R-values range from R-16 to R-57, depending upon the type of foam core and its thickness. R-value testing was conducted at a mean temperature of 75 degrees. Unlike fiberglass batt insulation, Murus foam cores do not sag, shift, settle or compress, or otherwise compromise the integrity of the original R-value rating.

Murus Difference

Why Choose Murus?

Not all structural insulated panels (SIPs) are created equal, and not all companies enjoy the Murus reputation for quality, innovation and service. More and more architects, engineers, builders, and homeowners are turning to Murus SIPs—the most technologically advanced building system available.

Total Client Support

To complement its superior products, Murus created Total Client Support, an unmatched program designed to provide service for the duration of a project. With Total Client Support, customers gain access to a team of technical professionals and a range of resources.

Energy Savings

Murus SIPs offer engineered energy savings, including significantly lower lifetime heating and cooling costs compared to traditional construction. Murus homeowners will save on energy costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants without sacrificing performance or comfort.

Flexibility/Options

Murus realizes that every structure is unique, so we manufacture every panel to the specifications provided in a project’s architectural drawings. Murus is the only manufacturer that offers three foam core options in a range of panel thicknesses, lengths and skin configurations.
